Local Heritage initiative

LHI is a national grant scheme helping local groups to investigate,
explain and care for their landscape, landmarks, traditions and culture.

Developed and run by the Countryside Agency, LHI is funded by
the Heritage Lottery Fund and Nationwide Building Society.

Farningham and Eynsford Local History Society

The Society was formed in 1985 by a small group of enthusiasts anxious to research and preserve the history of their locality.

Its area of interest covers the ancient parishes of Eynsford (including Crockenhill), Farningham and Lullingstone, and also Maplescombe.

Local History Online

We began as a business entity (but not yet a company) in 1984 when we began publishing Local History Magazine. Our website first appeared in 1997.
